MY STUDIO (44mb Only)

I tried to make the studio simpler with no need for whol2 dr2 download just download it and install and after that just run Studio.exe to start studio

NOTE!: After finishing your map open terrain.blk in hex workshop or any other hex editor and replace all .pic strings to .tga without this step you wont be able to get the textures in the game.. and after that do the same process of converting..


OK Guess that Max Speed was right.. the studio.exe isnt working.. i found it today by a friend who downloaded it.. my mistake i uploaded the wrong studio setup.. i made 2 studios 1 which worked nicely.. and other which i didnt tested. so now i'll have to upload a working one

Still you can use that shortcut runcode to run studio.. but i'm updating my studio a bit will upload soon.. as the many some people run it nicely and other have problem with cmd

where i install it? i open the studio.exe but it closes.

Install it anywhere... and you mean the studio doesnt starts?.. i tried it on different pcs and it worked.. if it doesnt works for maybe you should try the normal shortcut runcode..

and btw plz users try this and tell me if it gives errors.. or is it doesnt really starts.. cuz it does starts in many pcs

hmm.. looks like you have a cmd error.. well thats in your pc.. and.. wait i have the fix.. let me reply..

Ok now do this.. in that studio folder there is a dr2.exe

1- make a shortcut of it
2- open the shortcut properties
3- now in target.. add:
-cmd:"gamegod.studiomode 1;sys.runcode studio"


for example: "F:AMRTS Studio\dr2.exe" -cmd:"gamegod.studiomode 1;sys.runcode studio"

there should be space between "F:AMRTS Studio\dr2.exe" and -cmd:"gamegod.studiomode 1;sys.runcode studio"

i use it like this "C:\AMRTS Studio\dr2.exe F:AMRTS Studio\dr2.exe -cmd:"gamegod.studiomode 1;sys.runcode studio" but it doesnt work

lol i guess you did some mistake with space or that quote thing.. so did it work???
or maybe it was big mistake lol.. you the example after you target.. not the actuall code

i got a error again it says Expected Function Time It is the 8 train map.

Oh that its easy.. have you tried to convert the map of amrts before getting it in studio?

hmm.. i see the converting process video is for doubles map and since you are talking about 8train.. it might be different process of object.cfg .. find out on this forum .. and i'll try to fin dout myself

1- open studio
2- make new map with size 1248 in world "attic"
3- now save it with name 8train
4- now copy the terrain.blk from army men rts map
5- now past it in your studio's missions\multiplayer\8train folder
6- its done now test it in studio

Ok listen the way i just gave you of converting map was a shortcut method.. but you do need to learn the actual converting process.. because after finishing your map.. you will have to reverse the process.. here is the video.. in it it converts 8train (doubles) map.. and uses dr2's 8warway map.. since in my studio you don't have a dr2 map.. my already converted map can be considered as a dr2 map..

this is the process..



and after reversing this when your map is done (just try to reverse that game.cfg).. and after doing the process i wrote in the Note.. and after other editing (which you should know, the map will run without editing.. but it is necessary) your map will work in army men rts..

No matter what studio you use you will have to do these things.
