Add your own units into game |

Post  sharks | iniesta on Tue Feb 01, 2011 10:06 am

This simple unit is made by monsoon. This is just a little test

    If u can create objects(new-tanks,buildings,soldiers)
they can add like this into the game.not for replace
they are able to add as a 100% new unit
(we did a replace here becoz its just a test).

If you can create 3d models,
Its the time to jump into amrts developers community.

    drunken lol! ??

    special thanx for {EMC}Methusela96

I made it from 3d max...lol u are pro in google sketchup..u can easily make new units.

We couldn't use the model that u gave us , coz it is more complex. That unit reached the maximum vertex level. If u can make units with less vertex then it will be able to use in amrts. Smile

K, but my unit was made up of one square (crazy no? xD) and it doesn't have inner details so I still don't understand why it was so complexe. Maybe i'll try to learn 3d max...I have some friends that know.

Mainly vertex is something with vertices. That means the number of lines that crosses each other. It's not the program(3d max or google sketchup) that create the problem. It's the complexity of the model. First import the model u made in to the meshviewer. If it is not up to the point meshviewer will give the error messages. Then u can easily find the path to make it correctly...

So, what is the level that you used to make that unit? I believe that tripling the amount of that unit won't be too much, right?

What do u mean by tripling? Is it regarding size? When i work in 3d max I got to know this. That the size of the unit should be very small than the normal. In 3d max , in perspective mode , you should see the 3/4 of the axis indicator & keep that model really in the middle. IF it is a flying object..we have to move along the z axis.

i personally dont think it has to do with the number of vertices because i made a box in google sketch up pro and exported it as xsi and it didnt work in meshviewer
i think its the xsi exporter that is wrong
Alex i think u should get 3ds Max and then export ur images from google sketch up pro as .3ds and then load it in there and then from there export as xsi

Yea , that's the exact way i did it.. flower
& There is a problem in vertices dude..coz we can't import a model which has more than 1400 vertexes in to the meshviewer , as well as to the amrts game.
